A Little  Valentine’s Day Story for you...

I picked up this awesome vintage red velvet dress at a resale boutique called Retro Reload.  All the women are really nice and helpful there.  There's something timeless and magical about old things. When I saw this Jessica Rabbit mermaid dress; it said to me, "I love you, please take me home and wear me for Valentine's Day."  LOL  These shoes are very comfortable (got them on Zappos.com) and sometimes I wear them out dancing because they have straps,so they won't fall off.  Have you ever heard of the Varga Store?  That's where I purchased this gorgeous pearl and rhinestone purse.  What I really love about this purse is that the rhinestones hang like fringe on the bottom and swing when you move it...it sparkles when it dances:)  It's this charming boutique in the South Bay in Southern California that sells new pin up style clothing and accessories.  The boutique is decorated so girly, you won't want to leave.  It feels like the bedroom you always dreamed of...you'll have to go see for yourself.  I found this bib style "princess necklace" at H&M and it was the last one they had for only $30.00  need I say more, had to have it.

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”…a fitting quote by Charles Dickens about Valentine’s Day.  Ahhh… Valentine's Day..it can be so bittersweet.  Why?  Because some years you may have a sweetheart and sometimes you may have no one:(  That being said, we can all have a good Valentine’s Day if we choose to make it fun and surround ourselves by people we “Love” being around.  Of course, having a BIG box of chocolates and wine doesn’t hurt either :)

So, I'd like to hear what you did for Valentine's Day....What did you do?...Where did you go?..Most importantly...What did you wear?

With Love...

  3. Hello Joanna Joy, I'm so excited to come to your blog now to see what you're wearing and to read your wonderful story and adventures. You look so, so, beautiful in the red dress with all of your accessories. Very beautiful and classy. It's so great to see you putting thing together like this. You're really good with making jewelry also.
My Valentines Day! It was s kind of regular day this year. I had a lot of friends singing everywhere but decided to just stay in Palmdale and lay low. I first had breakfast brought to me in bed because of the hang over from the night before. LOL We celebrated my sister's birthday in her back yard with drinks, fireplaces, swimming pool, music and great friends. You should have been there. You will be invited to the next on!
After eating and relaxing, I got up and went to the movies. We went for brunch and watch the All Star challenges first and took in the movie 50 Shades of Gray. What a great movie. It open up a lot of feeling inside of me. LOL Good ones and bad ones. Classy but controlling movie. I enjoyed it! Can't wait to see part two.

It looks like your Valentine's Day was full of many fun activities. Wish I was there. I can't wait to see you perform again one day. I want to say thank you again for always supporting me. Love you, miss you, let's see each other soon!

  4. Alpine Village in Torrance on Feb. 28th. Show starts around 7ish. We're going to do Tina Turner Review. It's going to be a lot of entertainment as well as comedy. Feel free to come on out. I won't be on the lead vocals. My sister Coco will but she's really a stone cold gas. LOL
