Hello! How are you? What did you do to celebrate New Year's Eve? I usually enjoy events and then post them afterwards. How about you? These photos are from New Year's Eve, so I thought I'd do a Throwback Thursday post to show you what I wore. We were able to snap some photos a little before the celebrating began at our beautiful local Renaissance Hotel. This was the night to wear sparkly attire, so I pulled out this beautiful gold/ champagne sequin and black lace dress from Vera Wang that I purchased at Saks. I was waiting for an event to wear this dress, and New Year's Eve was definitely it. It was raining a lot that day so my hair developed flyaways, but oh well...what can you do about the rain right?
This bracelet I am wearing is from Deepa Gurnani, a brand I recently discovered and I have to tell you that I am in Love with their work. This piece was originally a headband, but I thought it was so pretty and matched my dress perfectly, so I wrapped it around my wrist a couple of times and made it into a bracelet accessory.
What do you think about wearing highly embellished headbands also as bracelets?
Such a lovely post! Have an amazing new week.

Thank you so much! Thanks, it's been a good one. I hope you have an amazing week too.
DeleteI really like your NYE look. The dress is so pretty and feminine. The accessories match it so perfectly. Beautiful earrings, bracelet and clutch- very appropriate for this festive occasion. It is really cool how that bracelet is actually a headband but you turned it into a bracelet. That's the best thing about fashion for me- making it our own. It is all about creativity!
ReplyDeleteI celebrated NY at home, with my husband and his family.
Thank you Ivana. I think it's fun to change things up and get creative with styling accessories. So true, it is all about creativity! A quiet celebration at home with family sounds nice. It can get pretty crazy out there.

DeleteGorgeous! That dress is stunning on you, Joanna! And I really like your heels. It looks like you had a fabulous NYE! We went to a park in Sydney to watch the fireworks over the Harbour - it was neat, but really warm. And my hair look AWFUL by the end of the night. Haha. And I think it's a great idea to use a headband as a bracelet!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week, Joanna!
