Hello! Hope you are off to a great start to a new week. I came back on the blog today with a few new things I wanted to try out. The first thing I wanted to try out was '60's inspired makeup. I've seen this type of eye makeup worn in a few runway shows and I wanted to have some fun and experiment with some dramatic makeup. How do you feel about wearing dramatic makeup? Amy at Salon Pop did an amazing job! She used Aveda products and I was extremely impressed. The Aveda moisturizing cream feels wonderful and is super hydrating. I would definitely go back to buy that. She also styled my hair just the way I like it. What do you think?
It's still gloomy and windy every few days over here, so I can wear boots if I want to:) Hence, the boots in May. What do you think about wearing midi skirts and accordion skirts? This skirt has it all. I stumbled upon it one day thrifting for vintage finds and never thought I would fall in love with a midi. To be quite honest, I feel they make me look even shorter than I already am. However, this skirt isn't your typical midi, it has a zig zag accordion design. And it was in navy, who doesn't love navy?
One of my favorite colors is gray. This blazer is so versatile (even though it's velvet) because it is in a lighter color and can transition more easily. It gives an outfit a more luxe feel when paired with a flowy white sun dress or white jeans. I especially love wearing this neutral as an alternative to black in the spring and summer months. It goes well with pastels like you see here paired with this lovely lavender Marc Jacobs bag and compliments brighter summer palettes like tangerine as well.
Hope you liked this one. Make it a great Monday!
wow.. you look great.

DeleteYour eye makeup is amazing!! Just wow :) I usually like to experiment with different eye looks and see how they turn out. I would never be able to create this though.

Thank you Elizabeth! I totally understand. I have the same problem. It's way easier to leave it to the professionals:)
DeleteI absolutely love your dramatic make up! I would love to try it myself, but as I'm not very good with make up, I think I will just do what you did....and go see a professional! Your hair also looks amazing. Flawless make up and hairdo, they did a great job at that saloon. You always look beautiful with or without make up, but it is fun to see you with a diffent make up look.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is gorgeous too! I love how you belted that blazer...and that navy midi skirt is a real fashion treasure. I love midi skirts and pleated ones are my fav. In fact I have one grey (pleated) midi skirt that I wear all the time.
