Happy Tuesday to You! Today, I 'm posting some old photos I took a few months back when I did a day of shooting with this awesome 60's mod makeup and hair from Amy Velasquez at one of my local salons in Long Beach, CA.
It's summertime and the sun is shining, the waves are crashing, and it's time to throw on some bright tangerine, yellow, and red hues. However, you can't stand the thought of getting out of your black, navy, and gray outfits. If you'd rather stay in the dark this summer, this is for you.
For a breath of fresh air try a black midi or sundress with some white accessories. I'm constantly on the lookout for white accessories like big bold beaded necklaces, filigree earrings, belts, scarves, bracelets, handbags, and heels. If you'd rather conceal than reveal, a little pop of white accessories to a black, brown, burgundy, or navy outfit will surely make wearing darker colors this summer transition with ease. Also, If it still looks too disconnected, add a neutral to the mix like tan/black/white or gray/black/white or navy/tan/white (my favorite).
You may also consider accessories with embellishments like pom poms, white beads or sequins, fringe, a print, or eyelet textured materials to add more interest to a dark outfit.
Hope you try this out this summer:)
Hugs,
Joanna
