Hello! How is your week going? How do you feel about wearing fringe? I love the vibe of fringe pieces. Fringe has movement and swings and sways when you walk. Do you own any fringe items? I paired it with this amazing scarf from Yohji Yamamoto because the colors and feel of the fringe tassels on the bottom accented this skirt from Black Bead so well. I love various shades of warm-toned clothing, so it was nice to find so many earthy colors in this set that I could combine together. Of course, this skirt was too long, so I had to add some height with these laser cut platforms from BCBG.
Also, do you own a cat? I Love Cats! My cat wandered into this photo shoot and technically she is my cat, but I rescued her from the streets and gave her food and a home. However, I quickly figured out that she would rather roam the great alleys of the city searching for adventure and other groups of cats to roam and play with, sniff through the trash in the dumpster, and drink from the stagnant puddles in the streets. Who knew? She only comes home in the mornings for her special can food, cat treats, and a warm couch or bed to sleep in. I guess you could say that I tend to attract the stray cats haha.
Life has been busier than usual these days. A few new blog opportunities coming my way has kept me a busy bee. Getting up earlier and staying up later to tackle all the projects of the day has been challenging, but I realize that you have to face whatever those challenges may be with a fierceness to succeed and to overcome those challenges...along with a bold cup of coffee haha! When I think of facing challenges, I think of our fierce feline friends...our cats. Okay, so they may look all cute and cuddly with their fur coats and sound irresistible with their compelling meows, but when it comes right down to it, they are Fierce. They know what they want, and what they don't want. If they want to run around and chase mice, they chase after them with fervor. If they want you to pet them, they will crawl up on your lap and block you from blogging on your computer or sit right in front of your television screen if you aren't giving them enough attention. There is a lot we can learn from them. They never worry about how they look when they go out (they were born with a fabulous coat), they are always curious and eager to learn (what's around the corner or in that paper bag), they are brave and take risks, and they are confident in their skills and abilities to do what they were born to do (hunt for opportunities and sense when it's time to pounce). Naturally, when they need to restore their energy, they rest (and take cat naps). Oh, how I love those adorable furballs:)
Hope you have a Fabulously Fierce Week!
